I created this page to help me keep my priorities in check! More than I love food, nutrition and blogging, I love my Lord and Savior. I believe that although eating healthy and taking care of yourself leads to a more satisfying life, true joy can only be found in Christ. I also believe that God gave us our bodies as a gift and that it is our duty to steward them well (i.e. eat healthy and exercise!). God also gave us food as a gift. It is meant to be enjoyed so let’s enjoy it! 🙂
Here are a few verses related to food that I like to keep on hand:
‘So whatever you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God’. (1 Corinthians 10:31)
‘There is nothing better for a person than that he should eat and drink and find enjoyment in his toil. This also, I saw is from the hand of God, for apart from Him, who can eat or who can have enjoyment?’ (Ecclesiastes 2:24-25)
‘Food will not commend us to God. We are no better off if we do not eat, and no better off if we do’. (1 Corinthians 8:8)
‘A worker’s appetite works for him; his mouth urges him on’. (Proverbs 16:26)–God intended for our appetites to keep us working hard, away from idleness (in order to make money so we can eat!).
